Most people, when they try to lose fat, they usually fail within the first couple of days or weeks. It sad, but it is true. But we have compiled a list of rules that you need to follow to have a successful weight loss journey. If you follow these rules, you will be on the right track to your new lean body!

Slowly reduce your carb intake

If you genuinely want to lose fat, you will need to consume fewer calories than you have been consuming so far. But cutting a lot of calories quickly can do you more harm than good. Not only physically but also psychologically. If you slowly reduce your carbohydrate intake over several weeks, you will feel better, and you will have fewer chances of falling off the diet plan.

Yes, this is true. I am my self not a big fan of salads, and I did not eat one in years, but I still have sixpack abs year round. So if you are like me and you don’t like that much salads, don’t worry. You don’t have to eat them; you just need to be on the right weight loss program, like this one.

The scale

Don’t jump on the scale the second after you have worked out and don’t weigh yourself every day. Losing weight is a long process, and your body can hold water differently from a different type of foods and even from overtraining. Try to weigh yourself after a week or two. And the difference on the scale will for sure motivate for upcoming workouts!

Weight training

If you want to lose fat and have a beautiful lean physique, adding weight training is not a must, but it will benefit you! Also, don’t workout just the body parts you would like to improve, work on muscle groups, and you will see far better results!

Smaller portions

You don’t have to cut down the portions in half, but it is a good idea to slowly reduce the portions of your meals and spread them out through the day. It will be easier for you to stay on a diet if you eat 4-6 meals, rather than two big meals per day. Usually, people who eat two big meals each day end up cheating on their diet, because they were “starving”.

Water

I can’t stress this enough, drink more water, not only that it will improve your digestion, but you will feel better. You will hold less water weight, and you might even feel less hungry!

Sleep

Go to bed early. Sleep is the best thing you can do for your fat loss. If you can sleep at least 7 hours per day, great. Because if you are not sleeping enough, it might mess up your hormones, which won’t help you lose fat. And some of you might know this, but the most amount of fat is being burned during sleep! So keep that in mind and try to go to bed earlier than you usually do!
